Kaia i Korsnesvika
Frå 1965 til 1993 var kaia i Korsnesvika sentrum i bygda. Her venta vi på ferja, sende mjølk og dyr, henta og leverte post, og reiste til og frå bygda.
Jan-Magnus Bruheim var storkunde i Postverket og var her mest dagstøtt for å sende og hente post. Det var her bygdefolket vart kjende med han og han med dei. Diktet Still sjø kan vere inspirert av ein tur langsmed kaikanten.

The Wharf in
the Korsnesvika Creek
From 1965 through 1993 the wharf in Korsnesvika was the meeting point in the community. There we waited for the ferry to arrive, we sent milk and animals, received and dispatched mail, left the community and returned there. Jan-Magnus Bruheim was a frequent customer at the post office, and appeared almost daily to send or receive mail. That is where the local people got to be aquainted with him and vice versa. The poem «Still Sea» may have been inspired by a trip alongside the wharf.
Silent Sea
When the sea rests shining black
A silent reflecton,
You can eye in the depth
The hidden undercurrents
Move in and in.
Comb and comb across
Forests of algae
And sea-weed.
They bend aside
As for an invisible wind.
